Babies & young children are vulnerable to accidents because they have no awareness of danger and cannot control their environment, they are totally dependant on me when they are in my care to make their world safe. I need to be aware of their safety within my home, when traveling and when out and about. The safety of babies needs particular attention.
I have a full drivers license and appropriate insurance/MOT certificate (all of which can be seen). Parents/Carers have to sign a consent form to allow me to transport the children in my car. I also have public liability insurance covered by NCMA/Royal & Sun Alliance.
I always complete and follow health & safety checklists at all times.
I have a first aid kit, smoke alarms fitted on all floors, a fire blanket & extinguishes. Also an electronic carbon monoxide detector placed accordingly. Fire drills held with older children at least once a month.
