Day Care Agreement (part-time)

1. Commencing provision of Childcare
Child Record Forms: We must have a completed child record form before we can care for your child. You are responsible to ensure that you review and update this information on the form at regular intervals and inform us of any changes to this information.
School collection: It is your responsibility to ensure the school/nursery is aware of our engagement and you are responsible for the setup of arrangements of our collection and drop-off of the child.
Deposit: A 4 week refundable deposit is required upon commencement of the Settling in period.
If care is not required during school holidays half the normal fee will be chargeable as a retainer or £25 whichever is greater.

2. Services that we provide
Food: A balanced diet is provided for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner if required. Healthy snacks will also be available throughout the day.
Collections: These are available at nominated schools. Should somebody different collect your child from my home, please telephone beforehand. Should your child not be attending school, or be collected by somebody else, again please advise us.
In an Emergency: In the event of a medical emergency, we will give first aid treatment and seek medical advice if required.
Transportation: We must have written authorisation from parent or guardian for transportation. We have fully comprehensive vehicle insurance for any journeys undertaken with your child. An appropriate car seat for the age of the child will be used at all times.

3. Charges and conditions of Childcare provision
Overtime: Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 6pm. For authorised care outside contracted or normal working hours, an agreed fee will be applied.
Payment Terms: Invoices are due monthly in advance. The first payment is due at the beginning of the settling in period. Thereafter, it is due on the first working day of each month or before. An invoice for each month will be raised approximately 5 working days before payment is due. There is also a late payment fee of £10 per day.
Paid Time Off: In each contract year we will take 4 weeks of holiday for which half the fee will still be applied. Notice will be given at least 6 weeks prior to any holiday. We are also closed for 1 week during the Christmas period for which normal fees will be applied.

Bank Holidays: Bank Holidays/weekend's:double hourly rate.
Non attendance during normal Childcare periods: Half the fee will be charged for parents holidays. The sickness rate for when a child is sick will remain the same at full fee.
Sickness: Children must not be brought to our home, nor can we collect them from school if they are unwell or suffering from a contagious illness or infection.
Child Exclusion: Should your child become incompatible with the general well-being of other children in our care, e.g. bullying, disruptive or aggressive behaviour, the child will be excluded without notice.
This Agreement: If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable then such provision shall be automatically modified to the extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable and all other provisions of this Agreement shall be regarded as fully valid and enforceable unless otherwise proved.

4. Conditions related to Childcare provision
Review Date: All contracts are reviewed every 6 months. This contract remains in force until a new contract is agreed or until termination is satisfactorily completed.
Notice Period: 4 weeks notice must be given in writing by either party to terminate or change any part of the agreement.
Charged Services: Any additional fees due for extra childcare services will be included on the next invoice.

5. Miscellaneous
Photography: Please be aware that we may occasionally take photographs of children for inclusion in promotional material such as my website. Please advise if you have any objections.
Personal Property: You are responsible to ensure that children do not bring any items of value to our home.
